VISUAL ARTIST & MURALIST
I believe that public art reflects and represents the character of the community, their traditions, inquietudes, their past and present while bringing a sense of pride and the hope for better times. Being aware that public art can serve as a bridge between diverse cultural backgrounds, this fact provides me with a sense of purpose as it is a very powerful form of communication.
Art can link people together, stimulate a sense of pride within the community, and introduce the viewer to new ideas and perspectives. My work as a muralist is to gather those traditions, inquietude, pride, hope and translate them into a visual language using larger-than-life and realistic images to relay this message.
